When I go hunting, it depends on where I'm hunting as to what gun will work for that situation. If the shots will be say 250 yards or less, I like using a long range pistol. A pistol is easy to maneuver in the varmint mobile. It just isn't easy to get a rifle in position for a shot where the varmint might decide he better move on!! Now for long shots, nothing beats a fine rifle with some fine optics for viewing a small target.
