The farm it seems was an original land grant as far back as 1777. Part of the place belonged to John Dodd and Sara Dodd. [ See letter from Bobby Dodd below. ] Other parts of the place belonged to the Mays family. There is so much history that has taken place on this land, it would be a very thick book!
