Hunting varmints in style!
|
Welcome to Varmints For Fun!!!
The purpose of this web site is to educate and let the world
know the
fun of varmint hunting. Groundhogs are my specialty as well as
foxes and

coyotes. I love custom guns that can reach a varmint
at long ranges and make a clean kill. If I can't make a clean
kill than I won't take the shot. There's nothing worse than a
wounded animal that will suffer and die a hard death later.
There is nothing better than sitting out in the field and
glassing groundhogs. You see all kinds of wild life. It just
sooths the soul to watch nature going about it's business. Even
if you don't kill any varmints it just doesn't get any better!
Fall groundhog hunting is about the best there is! The pigs are
fat as butter balls. This is when a groundhog is at his peak
weight so it can make it through the winter. The weather is
still warm and the varmint bugs are still worrying the devil out
of you but it's a nice time to relax and plan for the upcoming
varmint deer season. Lot's of times you will see mamma pigs
chasing the young out of the den and that can get down right
hilarious! I like to take groundhogs at long range if I can. It gives
him a chance to live another day if I miss.....hehe! When I spot
a hog I like to get into position where it's further than 200
yards. If I can't I will take him with a long range pistol or my
CZ 17 hmr. That 17 hmr has got to be the ultimate short range
varmint round ever made......I just love it!
